"Welcome To The Jungle"

Welcome to the jungle
We've got fun 'n' games
We got everything you want
Honey, we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money, honey
We got your disease

In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
knees, knees
I wanna watch you bleed

Welcome to the jungle
We take it day by day
If you want it you're gonna bleed
But it's the price you pay
And you're a very sexy girl
That's very hard to please
You can taste the bright lights
But you won't get them for free
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my serpentine
I, I wanna hear you scream

Welcome to the jungle
It gets worse here everyday
Ya learn ta live like an animal
In the jungle where we play
If you got a hunger for what you see
You'll take it eventually
You can have anything you want
But you better not take it from me

And when you're high you never
Ever want to come down, YEAH!

You know where you are
You're in the jungle baby
You're gonna die
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
knees, knees
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my serpentine
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
knees, knees
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
It' gonna bring you down-HA!

U2 - Until The End Of The World at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony - Gabriel Lorden

U2 - "Until The End Of The World "at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony - Gabriel Lorden

"Until The End Of The World" – U2

Haven't seen you in quite a while

I was down the hold just passing time

Last time we met was a low-lit room

We were as close together as a bride and groom

We ate the food, we drank the wine

Everybody having a good time

Except you

You were talking about the end of the world

I took the money

I spiked your drink

You miss too much these days if you stop to think

You lead me on with those innocent eyes

You know I love the element of surprise

In the garden I was playing the tart

I kissed your lips and broke your heart

You...you were acting like it was

The end of the world (Love...love...)

In my dream I was drowning my sorrows

But my sorrows, they learned to swim

Surrounding me, going down on me

Spilling over the brim

Waves of regret and waves of joy

I reached out for the one I tried to destroy

You...you said you'd wait

'til the end of the world

Bono wrote the lyrics relatively quickly at his father-in-law's house in Wexford, having woken up with the idea of a conversation between Jesus Christ and JudasBono did not feel comfortable trying to find a particular key to sing in, as he remarked that he sings most songs "a little bit too high or a little bit too low".  Consequently, the only melody in the song he felt comfortable singing was conversational.  Reading poetry by John KeatsPercy Bysshe Shelley, and George Gordon Byron inspired Bono to introduce the theme of temptation into the songs lyrics.

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" - Beatles

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping

While my guitar gently weeps

I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping

Still my guitar gently weeps

I don't know why nobody told you

How to unfold your love

I don't know how someone controlled you

They bought and sold you

I look at the world and I notice it's turning

While my guitar gently weeps

With every mistake we must surely be learning

Still my guitar gently weeps

Well...

I don't know how you were diverted

You were perverted too

I don't know how you were inverted

No one alerted you

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping

While my guitar gently weeps

Look at you all

Still my guitar gently weeps

Oh, oh

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Oh, oh, oh, oh

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh, ooh

Inspiration for the song came to George Harrison when reading the I Ching,
which, as Harrison described "seemed to me
to be based on the Eastern concept that everything is relative to
everything else... opposed to the Western view
that things are merely coincidental." Taking this idea of relativism
to his parents’ home in northern England, Harrison committed to writing a song
based on the first words he saw upon opening a random book. Those words were
“gently weeps”, and he immediately began writing the legendary song.

Alice In Chains & Gretchen Wilson Feat Nancy Wilson cover Barracuda by Heart live at the VH1 Rock Honors - Gabriel Lorden

Alice In Chains & Gretchen Wilson Feat Nancy Wilson cover Barracuda by Heart live at the VH1 Rock Honors

"Barracuda" - Heart

So this ain't the end - I saw you again today
Had to turn my heart away
You smiled like the
Sun - Kisses for everyone
And tales - it never fails!
You lying so low in the weeds
Bet you gonna ambush me
You'd have me down on my knees
Wouldn't you, Barracuda?
Back over
Time when we were all
Trying for free
Met up with porpoise and me
No right no wrong your selling a
Song - A name whisper game.
If the real thing don't do the trick
You better make up something quick
You gonna burn it out to the wick
Aren't you, Barracuda?
"Sell me sell you" the porpoise said
Dive down deep to save my head
You...I think you got the blues too.
All that night and all the next
Swam without looking back
Made for the western pools - silly fools!

Ann Wilson wrote these angry lyrics about her record company, Mushroom Records, whom she discovered was trying to spread untrue rumors that she was having an affair with sister and band mate Nancy Wilson, in order to increase record sales.

Stone Temple Pilots - Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart live from the Rolling Rock Town Fair - Gabriel Lorden

"Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart" - Stone Temple Pilots

Don't cut out my paper heart, I ain't dyin' anyway
Take a look at eye full towers
Never trust them dirty liars
Sippin' lemon yellow booze 'ole' leadbelly sings the blues
All dressed up on wedding day keep on trippin' anyway

I am I am I said I'm not myself, but I'm not dead and I'm not for sale
So keep your bankroll lottery eat your salad day deathbed motorcade

Fake the heat and scratch the itch
Skinned up knees and salty lips
I'll breathe your life vicks vapor life
And when you binge I purge alike
Let go it's harder holding on
One more trip and I'll be gone
So keep your head up
Keep it on, just a whisper I'll be gone
Take a breath and make it big
It's the last you'll ever get
Break your neck with diamond noose
It's the last you'll ever choose

I am I am I said I'm not myself, but I'm not dead and I'm not for sale
Hold me closer, closer let me go let me be just let me be

The music was written by drummer Eric Kretz, while the lyrics were written by lead singer Scott Weiland. Although the song has different interpretations of the lyrics, Weiland directly stated in a radio interview that the very ambiguous and mysterious lyrics to the song actually alluded to a "very bad experience dropping acid." In his autobiography Not Dead and Not For Sale, he adds that it "reflects my hunger for redemption"

The Henry Rollins Band - Liar at Woodstock 94' - Gabriel Lorden

"Liar" as written by Dolores Mary O'riordan and Noel Hogan; Performed by The Henry Rollins Band

You think youre gonna to live your life alone
In darkness
And seclusion
Yeah I know
Youve been out there
Tried to mix with those animals
And it just left you full of humiliated confusion
So you stagger back home
And wait for nothing
But the solitary refinement of your room spits you back out onto the street
And now youre desperate
And in need of human contact
And then
You meet me
And you whole world changes
Because everything I say is everything youve ever wanted to hear
So you drop all your defenses and you drop all your fears
And you trust me completely
Im perfect
In every way
Cause I make you feel so strong and so powerful inside
You feel so lucky
But your ego obscures reality
And you never bother to wonder why
Things are going so well
You wanna know why?
Cause Im a liar
Yeah Im a liar
Ill tear your mind out
Ill burn your soul
Ill turn you into me
Ill turn you into me
Cause Im a liar, a liar
A liar, a liar
Ill hide behind a smile
And understanding eyes
And Ill tell you things that you already know
So you can say
I really identify with you, so much
And all the time that youre needing me
Is just the time that Im bleeding you
Dont you get it yet?
Ill come to you like an affliction
And Ill leave you like an addiction
Youll never forget me
You wanna know why?
Cause Im a liar
Yeah Im a liar
Ill rip your mind out
Ill burn your soul
Ill turn you into me
Ill turn you into me
Cause Im a liar, a liar
Liar, liar, liar, liar
I dont know why I feel the need to lie
And cause you so much pain
Maybe its something inside
Maybe its something I cant explain
Cause all I do
Is mess you up and lie to you
Im a liar
Oh, I am a liar
If youll give me one more chance
I swear that I will never lie to you again
Because now I see the destructive power of a lie
Theyre stronger than truth
I cant believe I ever hurt you
I swear
I will never to you lie again, please
Just give me one more chance
I will never lie to you again
I swear
That I will never tell a lie
I will never tell a lie
No, no
Ha ha ha ha ha hah haa haa haa haaa
Sucker
Sucker!
Oh, sucker
I am a liar
Yeah, I am a liar
Yeah I like it
I feel good
Ohh I am a liar
Yeah
I lie
I lie
I lie
Oh, I lie
Oh I lie
I lie
Yeah
Ohhh Im a liar
I lie
Yeah
I like it
I feel good
Ill lie again
And again
Ill lie again and again
And Ill keep lying
I promise
